The EIC students who are in the Upper Primary course participate in a programme called “A raig d’aixeta”, a programme in which the children get to know how water reaches their homes, from collecting it, making it drinkable and storing it in the municipal reservoir, and how waste waters are collected from homes and returned to their natural cycle in optimal conditions.
During the activity the school’s groups visit the water reservoir and the treatment plant in the town, as well as seeing the inside of the sewers through a remote-controlled camera and watching the operators carrying out maintenance work. This activity is promoted by the Vila-seca and Salou town halls, along with the company SOREA.
