UOC awards gold medal to its founder, Gabriel Ferraté

The Vice President of the Fundació Escola Internacional del Camp (FEIC) and rector of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), Dr. Gabriel Ferraté, has been awarded the Gold Medal of the same University, which he managed for 10 years, from 1995 to 2005. The event, which was held in the Saló de Sant Jordi of the Palau de la Generalitat, began with a summary of Dr Ferraté's achievements from the Secretary for Universities and Research, Arcadi Navarro. He then received the Medal and the honoree spoke a few words.

Gabriel Ferraté was born in Reus in 1932, he worked as an industrial engineer and agricultural expert - his professional, scientific and research activity focused on the fields of Information Technology, Automisation and Robotics.
