Sports Day

On Friday, 10th of May, the students of EIC enjoyed a break from monotonous school days by participating in Sports Day. The day started off with the students meeting up in the forum and being given a brief introduction, after which the activities started. There were many activities: hockey, basketball, handball, orienteering, volleyball... they even brought in a sailing simulator! The students also enjoyed a 1 hour class of yoga, given by specialists in yoga who had been in the business for 27 years.

The ESO students started doing sailing, orienteering and yoga while the primary kids were playing the typical sports. There were even activities for the smaller ones set up in the gymnasium! At 11, there was a change and the primary kids were given a chance to participate in yoga, sailing and orienteering while the ESO students competed in a football and volleyball tournament. The bests of the tournament would play against the teachers in the afternoon, so everyone was giving their best.

After the lunch break, the winning ESO team of the tournament played a football and a volleyball match against the teachers. The teachers started well by winning the football match, but weren't as lucky in the volleyball match, in which the students were shining with pride.

Finally, all the students reunited in the forum for the award ceremony, in which all students were given an award for their participation and their effort. They were also treated to a dance performance, in which both professional dancers and the school dance crew performed beautifully. Concluding, the day was different and it was enjoyed by everyone.
