The students of History of Art (Bachillerato Social) travelled to Paris in October to see first hand the works of art which they have been studying during the course. The visited the Louvre and the Musée d'Orsay, focusing on the Renaissance, Baroque, Neo Classicism, Romanticism and Avant Garde. The most popular works were the large scale paintings from the 18th and 19th centuries, such as "The Oath of the Horatii" by J-L David and "Liberty Leading the People" by Delacroix.
Apart from our museum visits, the group also took time to visit architecturally significant buildings around the city. The central location of the hotel in Montmartre gave us easy access to the city centre and of course that part of the city has its own special atmosphere.
