The 3rd Patronage Night, held on the 19th of June, was a great participative success once again. Students, teachers, directors, school staff, patrons, families and guests enjoyed a pleasant summer evening. In total, over 100 people attended the event. During the evening, Alex Keyken was awarded the Joan Gumà Grant for Excellence, and he took part in the speeches, explaining his experience in the school. Dr. José Sánchez Toledo, head of the Vall d’Hebron Barcelona Hospital’s Paediatric Haematology-Oncology Service, also took part after having given a conference earlier in the school.
The event started punctually at 8pm with a performance by the string ensemble, Chelolins, with students from the school. Then the speeches were made and grants awarded. The Primary students closed the event with a choir performance, part of which they had already performed earlier in the month at Cantania, in Barcelona, with other Catalan schools.
After the most ceremonial event there was a cocktail-dinner, livened up by a magician, drawing lots and an auction of 4 sports tops: one from Nàstic de Tarragona, one from Reus Deportiu, one from R.C.D. Espanyol and one from F.C. Barcelona autographed by Leo Messi. The after-dinner dance went on to the small hours.
