ESO3 students have enjoyed a week, from February 21 to 28, of exchange with the Belgian students of Sint-Ludowijkscollege, Brugge.

As an activity of the International Exchange Programme provided by the EIC to its students throughout their academic career, the ESO3 students have participated together with the Belgian students in a common project: 'Social Media'.

Every year the exchange programme is more and more structured and during this course we have been able to enjoy low temperatures but with a shy sun while walking through the streets of Brugge, Ghent or Brussels.

We have had the opportunity to learn about other customs and ways of doing (dinner at 6!), Typical dishes such as Belgium fries and tasting the waffles and chocolate from the country.

We visited the European Parliament and simulated the sensations of being a parliamentarian. With a gymkhana we went to the most emblematic places in Brussels and discovered that the Maneken Pis is a very small statue. The structure of the Atomium impressed us all very much and crossing the inside of its arms, even more.

Thanks to the project this year, 'Social Media' we worked in the virtual reality by doing some workshops at the University of Kortric and participating actively in the job of an Instagramer, knowing what ‘cookies’ are or discuss about the 'Fake News'.

New friendships, new knowledge that we will finish by completing when we do the 2nd part of the exchange and our Belgian friends come to Salou at the beginning of May.

It has been a unique and unforgettable experience!

(More than one would have stayed for longer…)

Thanks to the families for the support given at all times in this activity fully 'international’!
