The EIC participates in the 11th Premi Sambori Òmnium

Students of the Escola Internacional del Camp recently participated in the 11th Premi Sambori 2017 organised by Omnium Cultural. Judit Ravell from ESO1 was awarded the 2nd prize in her category at regional level, and will go directly to the final in May!

But ... what does ‘Sambori’ mean? ‘Sambori’ (or hopscotch) comes from a game for girls and boys, and was chosen because it is a popular game which is played worldwide. As something which you can find 'everywhere', the Premi Sambori Òmnium for narrative also aims to promote the use of Catalan language in schools and institutions of El Principat, La Franja, Andorra and North Catalonia.

In our province more than 3000 students participated from 51 different schools in Alt Camp, Baix Camp, Conca de Barbera, Priorat and Tarragonès.
EIC students from Primary 1 to Baccalaureate 2 took part, and a student from ESO 1, Judit Ravell, was awarded the 2nd prize in her category, going directly to the final in May.

The awards ceremony was held on 18th March in the Hall of the Castell del Paborde, in La Selva del Camp.
We congratulate all participants and especially Judit encouraging you to continue with enthusiasm and success with your writing.

CONGRATULATIONS!
